I always have a problem making this dish. Usually not enough taste. Is there an alternative for maltose?

maltose will give sweet taste to cover up the bitterness of marmite. it's better if u can stick back to it.
you can opt to add more honey, but this will give a strong honey taste and different brand honey give u different taste, get what i mean?
without maltose maybe u can have additional 1 tsp of sugar, and 1 tsp of honey. but i havent try b4 cooking this way.
anyway happy trying!
